I actually had an alright new years. Went out to dinner with my parents which was alright, then I actually felt able to go to one of my friends who was having people round to drink and stuff. I got there at like 11pm and managed to stay until 2am, so that’s 3 hours which is pretty good going for me. What made it easier was that I am still on UK time zone which is 4 hours behind so I can’t get to sleep till like 2am here anyway, so I didn’t feel that tired.I also didn’t drink cause well I don’t really like drinking and wanted to be able to drive home when I wanted to. So that was okay, it was nice to see some of my friends that I haven’t seen since April.
I have a couple of new years resolutions that I am planning on sticking to:
1. Contact the open university about starting a course – DONE
I just did this one like two minutes ago. I want to start the Introduction to Counselling course which is a 12 week course which would probably be good for me to ease me back into studying. The only problem is that it starts on the 12th April and I go to Dubai on the 11th for 2 weeks. So I have asked if it’s possible to start it whilst I’m away. If it’s not I will just have to start it in October. Which may in hindsight be better as I will have more time to focus on my second resolution.
2. Start studying my taekwondo theory when I get back to England.
I am hoping to take my 2nd Dan black belt grading in October which is like the next level of black belt up from what I already am. But in order to do so I need to know all of the Korean theory for every single grade up to and including black belt level. So that’s a lot of stuff to learn so I really need to get started. Taekwondo theory has always been my downfall and I’m determined not to let it be this time, so I’m going to start studying every day for it.
So there are my two new years resolutions.
And I just want to wish all my readers and followers a happy new year, and I hope 2014 is a better more pain free year for you. I started this blog 7 months ago and I never thought that so many people would be interested in reading my ramblings. So thank you and your support means a lot to me!
